Live-in/Live-out Nanny

All our live-in nanny candidates hold a professional childcare qualification and bring years of experience in this sector. We take the utmost care in matching the right candidate to each family based on their individual requirements. Live-in nannies usually work between 10 and 12 hours per day, five days a week. Most families will also expect two nights babysitting to be included in the salary.

The requirement for babysitting Monday-Thursday should be agreed prior to commencement of the role. Any additional babysitting such as at the weekend must be paid extra. The babysitting rate for the weekends should be discussed and agreed before employment commences.

A live-in nanny is expected to undertake all nursery duties that relate to the children. They will provide care such as bathing, dressing and preparing nutritious meals. The live-in nanny will also wash, iron and organise the children’s clothes and belongings. She will ensure toys are clean and safe, and tidied away at the end of the day. The live-in nanny will also make sure that the children in their care are active and social, by organising play dates, attending baby classes, and taking children on outings.

A live-in nanny should be provided with their own bedroom and given privacy when “off-duty”. Some families offer separate accommodation for live-in nannies in order to attract a higher calibre of candidate.
